SEOUL, Korea – November 28, 2024 – SAMSUNG SDI today announced it has appointed new president and chief executive officer(CEO) of the company.
Joo Sun Choi, previously CEO of SAMSUNG Display, has been named the new President and CEO of SAMSUNG SDI.
Choi, Ph.D in electronics engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, served various key positions at SAMSUNG Electronics, including the head of DRAM Development Center and head of Sales and Marketing Team at Memory Business, as well as head of America Office (DS). He has led SAMSUNG Display as President and CEO since 2020.
Based on Choi’s technological know-how and leadership accumulated throughout lifetime careers, SAMSUNG SDI is anticipated to continue its journey of innovation under the new chief’s leadership.
Meanwhile, the company plans to announce its executive reshuffles and promotions for 2025 in the near term.
