Samsung SDI PDP overtaking #2 in the world.

Market researcher DisplaySearch said Tuesday that SDI produced 630,000 PDPs in the second quarter.
In this year's second quarter, SDI posted US$312 million in PDP sales and ranking second in the world after Matsushita.
Overtaken by LG in PDP sales in the first quarter of 2006,
SDI has since been in cutthroat competition with LG over the global number two ranking.
Of the five major suppliers, only Matsushita and Samsung SDI enjoyed on-year
growth. By size, Matsushita led at the 37-inch, 42-inch, 55-59-inch and 60-inch-
and-larger categories, while Samsung SDI led at the 50-inch class.
