Electronics industry, in particular, is going through tremendous changes by way of Digital Convergence Revolution. Digital displays, a medium conveying information to human, and batteries which make possible of the revolution are becoming the centerpiece of digital devices of which significance has been increasingly growing.

In order to cope with this trend, Samsung SDI established the Corporate R&D Center (CR&D) in 2000 equipped with cutting-edge facilities including super clean rooms. In here, about 500 personnel of highly superior researchers apply themselves to developing high-tech display devices such as FED, 3D and environment-friendly energy sources of the 21st century including Fuel Cell, Solar Cell.
It is our firm belief that these manufacturers we are currently developing will play a key role driving digital convergence revolution.

Based on the cooperative structure among the development teams around the globe together with the domestic research institutions - such as flat panel R&D center, Chunan R&D center, and Digital Display Research Institution- and overseas research institutes in Europe, Japan, China, and Russia; and through intensifying the quality innovation activity in R&D area and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma), we have been making steady progress in augmenting the efficiency of the research and development.
