OLED shows possibility of application in various kinds of field. As an emerging small size/mobile display device, OLED has been applied in cell phones, digital cameras, camcorders, PDA, CNS (Car Navigation System), and Audios. It is expected to be a rising display in large-size products as long as ink-jet type OLEDs based on high-polymer substance are commercialized. For it can be manufactured as a roll TV type, we have a prospect of realizing imaginary display in the near future.

OLED which can be applied in a variety of areas; however, OLED is estimated to be used for mobile devices in its early stage such as terminals for mobile phones or PDA. STN LCD is known for its main type of mobile devices as of today, but it is likely to be replaced by OLED featuring superior technical properties starting form 2003 when mass production of OLED begins.
OLED is viewed that it will be applied to new lines of display markets including Head Mount Display and Flexible Display. eMargin and Kopin corporations of USA have already developed Head Mount Display by using high-definition micro OLED. Lastly, Laptop computers, monitors, and TVs are expected to be adopt OLED as well.
