Educational Programs for Core Human Resources

For the education of administrators, technical administrators, and future administrators, SDI provides 2-year course of MBA programs, and 2 to 5-year program to support key researchers together with the personnel with Master's/Doctor's degrees in order for them to carry out their long-term academic courses.

We launched a program for the experts in Area Studies in 1990 which is designed to train executives, overseas residential officials, and area experts, and has been operated as a local dispatch course of 6 months to 1 year.
Cyber Education Program

SDI provides all the members of SDI with opportunities taking cyber education through SDI Campus. Global Cyber Educational System in Chinese version debuted in 2002 especially for the 8000 employees of Chinese plants ranging from innovation activities such as 6 sigma to manufacturing technology areas, and the system is now in the process of globalization.

By means of these kinds of Cyber Education, work efficiency of local employees can be enhanced, and active knowledge management among SDI networks strengthens the global competitiveness of both employees and the corporation itself.

When a person is completed with a Cyber Program, his/her educational history and the record reflect the personnel system so that he/she can receive incentives.
Period of the Work Span - From the Beginning to the End

Samsung SDI applies 'Quick Settlement of the newly recruited' one- year program starting 1999 which enables to combine their job assignments along with former classroom studies; through one-to-one teaching of the executives by themselves in the job sites who have been working for more than 5 years.
Engineers prepare 'Self-development' programs such as Project Leadership Training, OJT for the areas concerned, Language Programs backed by the 'Mentor System' support of one's own senior engineer.

We also offers 'Trainee-in-University' System' to ten Bachelors and Masters every year dispatching to prestigious universities. As for the course of Master's and Doctor's degree they can acquire expert knowledges of their areas concerned for 2 and 4 years each, and for Doctor's level personnel we promote 'Visiting Researcher System' dispatching them to universities and research institutions throughout the world for 1 year.
There established a 'Employment Transfer Training' for those who are expected to be retired together with a program supporting their new start after the retirement allowing them with the 2nd chance of enterprise commencement.
