PMOLED : Passive Matrix (PM) type of OLED
- PMOLED : Passive Matrix type of Samsung OLED
- OLED can be divided into Mono-molecule & High polymer OLED by the emitting substance of the Organic Layer, and into PM (Passive Matrix Type) and AM (Active Matrix Type) by the driving method.
As for Mono-molecule OLED, development has proceeded and the properties of materials are already well-known, so its development can be done without difficulties; while High-polymer OLED has high thermal stability and mechanical intensity, and has color sensitivity of natural colors and requires low driving voltage.

- Simple manufacturing process and Low price
- Disadvantage of Samsung PMOLED
- High power assumption (inappropriate for representing wide views)
- Lower brightness according to the increase of Row Lines
