Terms Explanations
Electron Gun Refers to an electro-magnetic field which is to precisely adjust electron beam through focusing, emission and acceleration of the electron beam.
Phosphor It radiates visible light. 3 phosphors the Red, Green and Yellow are used for Color CRT.
Light Transmission
Light transmission is the brightness ratio between the light radiated from phosphor inside CRT and the light that is displayed after passing through front glass of CRT. It is determined by CRT itself.
Color Temperature
Color temperature refers to White Color that is represented as temperature based on the color change of the light that is radiated according to filament temperature. It is called color coordination when it is indicated as X and Y value. The unit of Color Temperature is K¡Æ(Kelvin Degree).
Anti Static coating
It refers to special chemical application treatment on the surface of CRT in order to avoid static electricity.
FED
FED(Field Emission Display) is a new type of flat display which has cross strip form of electron ejectors alignment. Each ejector is controlled individually by cold cathode in order to create colors.
Color Filter
Resin filter with paints or pigment which have red, green and blue the three primary color
Focus The phosphor side. That is, the maximum concentration of electron beam which is indicated by minimum spot size on the screen. The focus is the core factor that determines definition of texts.
Luminance ¡°Brightness¡± of liquid crystal display screen. Effective units are NIT, Foot Lambert, Cd/m*m and etc. The luminance is determined by Backlight luminance and light transmission ration of panel. The transmission of liquid crystal layer is low. As matters stand, in order to enhance luminance, you can increase the opening rate or use Polaroid with high transmission rate, color filter with high transmission rate and prism.
AR coating Same Mechanism as AR-Panel is applied. It is one of the coating method which decreases surface reflection and prevents focus damage through applying several different coating layers on the surface of CRT. It is also called Multi-Layer Coating.
MPR-II It is started as MPR-I in Sweden in 1987. Year 1990, reinforced version the MPR-II is announced and applied to monitors sold in European region not as a compulsive regulation but applied together with basic standard. This regulation is made to regulate the volume of magnetic field in order to minimize the harms on user¡¯s health which can be caused by VDT symptom but, the influence to health is not proved by experiment. This regulation regulates electro-magnetic field of VLF(Very Low Frequency) and ELF(Extremely Low Frequency) which are not regulated by other EMI regulation.
TCO TCO(The Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees) is the Swedish electric wave regulation which regulates volume of electric field and magnetic field that are caused by IT products. This is reinforced MPR-III regulation which the measuring standards are changed as following, the measuring distance from the front part of the monitor is shortened from 50cm(MPR-II) to 30cm, the VLF(Very Low Frequency;2KHz-400KHz) of electric field is to 1nT, ELT(Extremely Low Frequency : 5Hz-2KHz) is to 10nT, VLF of magnetic field is to 25nt and ELF is to 100nT.
Active Material for the Anode Active material for batteries generating electricity
Separator The separator of battery is a supplementary material which is to separate the anode and cathode in order to avoid shortage due to direct contact.
