Pusan plant located at the foot of Mt. Shinbul utilizes water along the valley as tap water during the farmer’s slack season in negotiation with the rural community and supplies tap water and cleanly treated water to it during the dry season, which is in symbiosis.

At the last drought which struck the whole nation, Pusan plant provided water to agricultural areas near the plant, minimizing the damage due to drought. And it purchases rice produced in this area to save burdens of them. At the same time it turns food waste from in-house restaurants into feed, supplying them to farms. It also operates fire fighting by itself and copes with fire or emergent situations. Pusan plant is searching for surviving together with community.

Since foundation in 1997, Samsung SDI Rugby Team has achieved best results in every tournament. It holds kids’ rugby class using summer vacation every year for children of all executives, staff and community. Also through the three major spirit of rugby: sacrifice, patience and cooperation it has been growing sound mind and sound body of the kids.

In the spring cleaning season of every year we collect unworn clothes kept in closets and give them to the neglected neighbor and refugees in the third country.

Every year we have been holding the finger language class of love since 2000 targeting all executives and staffs in order to understand our neighbors who cannot hear and speak and to extend common ground.
