We accepted sustainable management philosophy, a new management paradigm, and synthesized various sustainable activities executed so far and set a sustainable vision of Samsung SDI. Samsung SDI sustainable vision is “True Leader for Sustainable World”. In other words, it is to be a true leader to last the world. This vision represents the company vision of the future we Samsung SDI heads for through Samsung SDI sustainable management.
To be a true leader lasting the world covers not only economic achievement to be the true leader in digital world but also to have a leadership in the area of environment and society and to be at the head of developing this world sustainable.



Economy Society Environment
Samsung SDI set the goal in the triple bottom line, economy, environment and society in order to be the true leader to last the world.

The goal in the economy is Sustainable Growth. We will create sustainable growth and profit through Technology Driven Company and customer sensation.
The goal in the environment is Eco-Value Creation. We will contribute to improve the quality of human life by generating more values in the environmentally friendly way over all the process of product and service.
The goal in the society is Win-Win Partnership with all concerned. We will build up balanced partnership for mutual profit and trust with the variously concerned.

This Sustainability Report is the third one.
Through this year report, information disclosure is extended, as required by various stakeholders, and it is attempted to show you how Samsung SDI and the stakeholders are influenced by each other. Also, we hope that you may find Samsung SDI innovative, future-oriented and alive, through the report. We will continuously do our effort to be a sustainable company.

Samsung SDI, which has introduced and practiced sustainability management as a new business management philosophy, published its second sustainability report. This report is featured with its annual report being incorporated, which has been issued separately, an idea to help various stakeholders better understand Samsung SDI with less efforts. Since the first sustainability report being issued in December 2003, Samsung SDI has carried out various initiatives for sustainability on triple bottom line of economy, environment and society.
Those activities and plans for the future are encapsulated in this report.

Samsung SDI published Sustainability Report as an element of Samsung SDI sustainable management. Through this sustainability report, we intend to open to the concerned transparently the various activities and performances we have been promoting so far and at the same time, we want to put our will for our vision, goal induced from the course of establishing the master plan and the sustainability into this report. This report is the first sustainability report that Samsung SDI publishes and will issue more advanced reports.
